In 2009 the BMW 5 Series lost its title of the world’s favourite executive saloon to the Audi A6. With the new model of 5 Series they are looking to bounce back in style. The styling of the previous 5 Series had shocked the motoring world in 2003 with harsh looks and sharp lines. This made sure that the car had lost its conservative appeal. The new model however has more curves and a smoother look to it, the bonnet and lights are less harsh. There are a wide range of engines available and they are all pretty quick. The cabin is very quiet and the ride is very smooth and pleasant. However with the power available and with the rear wheel drive this car is nothing if not a monster. If any of the 5 series rivals weren’t scared before they will be now.

Recently there was good news as Saab was saved from the scrap heap due to the recession meaning General Motors cutting them out of their plans. Dutch supercar maker Spyker confirmed they had completed a deal to buy the Swedish company from owner General Motors.

I remember having a 1991 H Reg Saab 9000. It was a 2.0L petrol car with an automatic transmission and was such a good reliable car. The car is still running now is looked after properly, even if at nearly 20 years of age it doesn’t run quite like it used to. In terms of fuel economy it wasn’t great but the best thing about this car was the heated seats! All winter I would use them and they were a great feature to have. So the news that Saab have been sold and not completely gone out of business is great news, I hope they start building the cars more like they used to before General Motors.

Mini have released information and pictures on the new Countryman 4×4 car. The car has 4 doors and a 4-wheel drive system if required. The Mini has never before been a 4×4 offroad vehicle and the BMW owned company are obviously keen on showing that the look and feel of the Mini isn’t lost. It looks like an off road car but the main styling of the car definitely looks like the Mini. The large headlights and high window line remain intact.

Mini Countryman

With the usual Mini car, the naming system is also intact. At a base level there is the Mini One Countryman which has an 89bhp engine. The Cooper S model is a 181bhp 1.6 engine that has been turbocharged for extra power. Both the gear boxes are six speed but on petrol models there is an option with wheel-mounted flappy paddles.

As with most Minis, they don’t come cheap. The Countryman will go on sale in September, with prices starting at around £17,000.

German car tuners Gemballa are going to work on 25 Ferrari Enzo’s to suit the lucky owners of these magnificent cars. The power that they produce will be 700 bhp and with a wide range of aerodynamic changes including wide arches, reprofiled nose, roof scoop, assorted gills and a massive rear wing -this car will go like the clappers. It is inspired by a jet fighter by the looks of it, and while many purists will wonder what on earth the car looks like - I think it looks strangely attractive.

On the inside it’s a mix of equally brash touches. Leather is standard and there is a revised centre console which includes a 950-watt stereo system with seven-inch touchscreen. It is unlikely that Enzo Ferrari himself would approve of this tuning but it is undoubtedly a fantastic car with the look of a Stormtrooper from Star Wars.

Britain’s bestselling car is here, and the look of car has changed dramatically. This new look which you can see has been based around the look of the Ka and Fiesta will be an ambitious evolution of the most popular car in Britain. Prices for the range are yet to be confirmed but the standard models are likely to cost from £15,000 which is good considering the changes and improvements Ford have made.

Ford will offer a range of engines from the new series of turbocharged EcoBoost systems. There will be a British built 1.6 litre petrol engine with between 148bhp and 178bhp as well as a 2.0 litre petrol providing 203bhp. There will also be a 2.0 litre TDCi diesel engine for the eco-friendly amongst us which is likely to offer between 134 and 160bhp. There will be a hatchback model and also the less popular saloon to choose from.

Mulsanne….. I am not too sure on the name I think it is a bit shiek is. But I suppose the only people that will be able to afford this Bentley will be a Shiek.

The rest of the figures are impressive though. This beast has a 6.75 litre engine that will get the Mulsanne from 0 to 60 in around about 5 seconds. Now this is impressive considering that this will be probably the good side of 3 tonnes weight.

I would love to see something that heavy pull away with that much grace. I would love to drive one as well so if Bentley are listening please allow it happen.

Top Gear has revealed that the latest Nissan Rival to the BMW 5 series is coming and It looks good.

Reports say that they are taking the engine out of the 370Z and placing it in this monster to give it a 3.7 litre v6 engine that will give out somewhere in the region of 316bhp and 265lb ft of torque. This will produce somewhere in the region of about a 0-60 in around s seconds which is really good for a heavy that.

I used to drive a old Nissan and even though I wanted to get rid of it due to it being to big for my girldfriend it was superb to drive and I loved the guts engine that it had.

I think this will be a really good contentor to take on the 5 series

Today there has been a sketch a new Lexus car released. The car at present is only being draw as a concept car but if it does become a concept car it will be showed at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The below image is a picture of the car that is eagerly awaited where it will be created or not.

I really hope that they put a lot of thought into building this car as I think it will be a winner.I hope they dont put the car too expensive either as I would never be able to afford one but still window shop one every time I was at a Toyota Garage

There have been new pictures realeased of the Chevrolet Camaro Trans Am which are shwon below.

I think that this is a superb looking car for me. I really like the fact that they have not gone a brand new style and shape but kept it the same as the old version but just a bit more fatter.

I would assume that this muscle car will have a huge 5.0 litre v8 that probably gives out about 450bhp. I would assume that the car will still be made out of steel so it takes about 7 seconds to do 0-60.

I do hope though that they look at reducing the weight and use lighter materials so that this beast can produce a 0-60 in a below 4 seconds target.

I alos recon that this will be a snip at about $25000 as they alwasy are. If this muscle car is cheap enough I think I will invest and get one brought across to this country as I love muscle cars, actually I am going to see how much it would cost to buy one that is already over here.

This is the first photo of the new Kia VG 2010

Isnt it marvelous. I think this is the best looking Suzuki I have ever seen.

Normally when I see a Suzuki I expect to a see a small jeep that will do 0 to 60 sometimes. But this is tremedous. It looks like this attempt at a sports salloon has paid off very nicely. There is not much to tell about the car yet but I am guessing it will have a throatey 2.4 litre petrol engine with a around 200 bhp.

I am not too sure on the price of this beast either but I would assume that it would be closer to £15,000 than £20,000 but i may be totally wrong.

But who cares look at the lines of this beast. It looks tremendous. I would easily put the money I am saving for my BMW into the new Suzuki VG.

I have noticed recently that the smaller car companies are making better looking cars than the likes of BMW and Mercedes.
